The fact that I have the same exact pose as the MadMen yourself picture is a total coincidence. We took this photo the day afterwards.

The AMC website has a feature where you can MadMen Yourself. Here’s what I came up with.

I found some videos of a material called d3o that looks incredibly awesome. It’s soft and pliable, so you can wear it, but when you bash it really hard it locks up and can protect you from things like shovel impacts.

sixsixone has some kneepads made of this stuff, if you’re willing to spend $100. Some other companies are making beanies out of d3o as a sort of alternative to wearing helmets. Now you can look ‘street’ while being safe at the same time!

I’ve somehow developed an enlarged nerve in my foot, probably from breaking it a few months ago. It’s super anoying and bothers me when I do pretty much anything that involves stepping on my foot. I’m going to get surgury in a week or two, so I’ll be out of order for another 4-8 weeks :-/
